Innovation are inevitable. However, We cannot fully move on to a new solution being said that the solution is innovation. The new solution should be accessed against the existing one to understand any potential benefits and risks. Other aspects like stability, scalability and manageability needs to be looked at. And most importantly, Pilot the new solution to get a real feel. There could be a innovative solution, which is in the early stages of its growth trajectory. And needs time to get mature and get ready with more features.

When deciding whether or not you are ready to move on from legacy systems, it’s important to consider the long term implications of adopting new technologies. They don’t exist in a vacuum. Will new technologies work in synergy with existing systems? Will disruption cause security/stability issues? The answers to these, and many other, questions lead up to one major question…When does the legacy technology start costing us more than adoption of new technologies? To get everyone on board with our decision, we must be able to show quantitative analysis of the best and worst possible outcomes. The best outcomes need to offer enough upside to justify a higher risk appetite that is willing to risk the worst outcomes.
