I would defenitely set the tone by demonstranting openess to unconventional ideas. I would also mix my team members for cross disciplinary collaboration!!! Finally i would tell them not to afraid to make any mistakes and ensure that we would enchance michalagelo approach- Critique by creating.

A leader (and more in general also a human being) can't put creativity inside a team in a forced way. You can teach some aspects of creativity but not creativity as a whole. A leader to let creativity spread has to create an environment in which everyone is free to say something and to fail.

As a theatre kid, I've gotta say, IMPROV is my most familiar friend. When workshopping, make sure to separate the "what if..!" from the "HOW?" by following a simple rule of improv: The "Yes, And..." With this method, a response of "yes, we COULD do that, BUT..." becomes "Yes, we CAN do that, AND...!" which sparks excitement and creates a snowball effect of passion and potential. After you've had a dedicated "improv" session utilizing "yes, and", you can trim down the ideas that aren't realistic, and focus on the passion that came with the more applicable ideas. If you DON'T apply this method, it's easy to lose a high-potential idea to the immediate negativity we're used to. Try it, and let me know what you think!

Additionally, I’d introduce prompts or challenges to reframe problems from fresh perspectives, bring in external inspiration such as case studies or industry trends, and celebrate even the wildest ideas to maintain energy and enthusiasm. I would try to make the process as fun for my team as possible.

Workshops are the best. Create an open and safe environment where anything goes, but is facilitated towards an outcome. Use broad territories to spark focused creative energy, and make those unconventional to start with, creating a sense of play. Time limit ideation brackets, and make it less than two hours in total. Allow people to help vote on, plus up, and evolve the ideas on the whiteboard. Even go off on new tangents with a spark that was shared. Depending on the situation, one novel approach is to 'flip' the work amongst the team, i.e., swap individual contributors' roughed-out ideas and have another team member work on bringing the creative concept to fruition. Often, new perspectives can break through creative blocks.
