(edited)I have my Superintendent’s review the approved submittal for the material or equipment being delivered. We also review the PO to ensure all items have been received. If you only rely on the packing list, you may not realize you are missing items until it’s too late and the installation schedule ends up being impacted.

Your Superintendent gets the approved submittal from the Project Engineer then walks out to the project and inspects the delivered material to make sure that it matches the information in the approved submittal
