Always refer to the contract documents and specifications. What are the approved specifications and what are the options are alternative. Do not deviate from the contract specifications without any written approval or confirmation. Assuming the contract specifications specify multiple brands or manufacturer, one should execute proper procurement management by analyzing the procurement criteria such as price, payment term, delivery lead time, risks, back-up supplier/support etc. Carry out a transparent and clear guided scoring system to select your manufacturer/supplier.

First meeting should be done with all stake holders to understand their concern Do proper research on materials to find out best match which can address concern of most of the stakeholders Present well in front of stakeholders and try to align them to common product selection/ opinion. If you are able to do this with 80% of the selections, then they will not bother about remaining 20% for sure. Decide which material are very very important, where you don't want to compromise and want to use according to your choice. Be sure to basket them in your choice of 20% products and work will be done!!

First of all the company must apply by its own governance and HSE rules pre stablished by the board of directors. All contracts must reflect the reality. Preserving the best interest for the company but also to be feasable in production and finacially. Supply chain relliability, materials quality and execution time, it all matters. The decision is always taylormade. No manager want the supply chain compromised by fake prices or unreal unilateral contracts at the same time must not spend bad money. Again, exerienced advisors are required to have a full cenario overview of the many variables of the contract.
