This played out practically few months ago in our institution where I am the head of studies. Because we see that most students that come to prepare for UTME and claimed they have their SSCE have really weak foundation. In fact some of the SSCE results are those they did illegally. When they came around we decided all students must attend WASSCE class which we serve as foundation for them whether they have their SSCE results or not. The resistance was fierce from parents. They didn’t want to listen. But what I did was clearly explained to them how it will benefit the students. I also let them see that the testimonies of students who have passed through our Institute passed through the process. Majority of them agreed and adjusted.
