My 2 cents: 1. Foster open communication across all verticals. Create an environment, a work culture which is unbiased and fair, deeply rooted in mutual respect and understanding and embroidered with strict work ethics. 2. Encourage collaborative decision making where everyone gets to speak and share their opinion. Value the contribution made by everyone no matter how big or small. 3. Provide professional development opportunities to everyone. Let them become lifelong learners who are deep workers, deep readers, resilient and risk takers respecting and learning from each other's experience and expertise.

Open communication is key, active dialogue. Some will disagree with any decision but with understanding people will accept what is acted upon if the dialogue is accessible. Autocracy is damaging in a learning environment so be open and listen.

I seek common ground, aligning decisions with our shared mission while respecting individual viewpoints. When conflicts arise, I focus on empathy and facts to guide resolution. Collaboration thrives when everyone feels valued, and I believe diversity isn’t just a challenge, it’s our greatest strength in making thoughtful, impactful decisions.

It is key to ensure that everyone in a diverse team is made comfortable to share their views on a topic or issue, so actively listening to each member of the team is important. What I also look for when listening to team members speak is connections between their views or areas of compromise towards achieving a certain goal. To encourage further discussion, I may ask my team questions to enable them to expand on their thoughts and approaches to addressing an issue or analysing a topic. More diverse views have potential to solve complex problems so it is also important for me to have an open mind and to ensure that my team are also open-minded to solving problems in different and unique ways.
