In my experience, depends what stage of a product development process you are. If it is early like concept and prototyping stage, then challenge each opinion holder to clarify and reduce to practice their hypothesis for success and then have a good ole showdown of prototypes with consumers/team-testing/beta-customers. Agree on criteria and be totally objective and unbiased then the leading approach will be announced and expectation set to focus on that one. If it is later in the development stages, then respectfully capture opinions and organize them by act now versus park and act in a future project or if the data behind an opinion has merit to cancel or completely re-direct the project and work a change with stakeholders to decide.
