IMHO Companies should check if the followers from these influencers are relevant for their business or service. Most of them aren’t. For example, a premium hotel or private jet charter company has no ROI at all from these ‘pretty face influencers’, because at least 90% of their followers can’t afford a hotel night at 300€/night or more, or a jet service costing thousands per flight. And yet, they still do it. Also, these companies that work with influencers think to reach those thousands or million followers of that influencer, which is not the case in the first place. Social media platforms barely show someone’s content to their followers, it’s not even close. They show content through their algorithm and interest history of the user.
