A team's project is bounded by time constraints. To have a divided attention in relation to decision making will constitute a project delivery delay. I would suggest the communicator of the issue at hand must be clear in his or her delivery. Communication must be on common grounds to ensure easy understanding. Again, the leader must ensure that each others voice has been heard and considered before final decision is been made.

It is important for leadership to facilitate this decision. I would start by reinforcing the objectives of the project and the delivery to be carried out and which possible decisions are aligned with them. I would try to analyze together with the team the impacts (quality, risks, cost and schedule) of each decision and what would generate the most value for the client. Based on this, I would try to find a consensus solution with the team. If it is not possible to reach a consensus, it is up to the leader to make the decision.
