Burnout is a natural outcome of work, and more so when the team is remote. If not addressed, it will directly affect the team morale and output. Some measures from managers, that I have seen address the burnout issue in remotely located team members. - Encourage casual meetings/conversations. e.g. organize a fortnightly no-work meeting where the mandate is to talk everything other than work, be it tv shows, food, hobbies, life stories etc. - Acknowledge the burnout. Goes a long way to build trust in employees. - Ensure that all employees are taking leaves regularly. - Ensure regular team outings where work is not discussed

To address burnout, I’d start by checking in with the team individually to understand their challenges and concerns. I’d look at adjusting workloads, setting clearer priorities and ensuring realistic deadlines. Encouraging breaks, recognizing their efforts and introducing small, engaging team activities can also help.
