Going by the fundamentals, the Agile team should overcome knowledge gap to speed up the development. Hence by having a map of what's known and unknown to the team individuals, is probably the most important hidden step. Further to that Agile tools give a lot of dashboard access to understand if we are headed towards success. Waste reduction or blockers resolution in development greatly help in improving efficiency. Another hidden measure is in customer feedback, how detailed they are and how they are rating it. One more measure is to observe the meetings like sprint plan and sprint retrospectives. Most often sprint retrospectives are ignored, but careful observation will lead to an understanding of morale & inspiration that the team has.
