While this depends on your community and goals, having worked hard to connect with and engage my community, my best advice is: - Stay local - reach out directly, doing the right research to optimize reach and targeting is key. Organize small gatherings in public spaces. Keep events simple and low-cost. - Leverage Social Media - post about community events and community outreach across social media platforms on both individual and organization social media accounts. Engage directly with followers by responding to comments and messages and sharing user generated content. - The key is being creative, sticking to the mission, and committing to meaningful direct engagement.

Partner with local organizations and businesses to co-host events, sharing resources to minimize costs. Host low-cost activities like workshops or meetups in public spaces to encourage organic engagement. Activate word-of-mouth marketing by empowering ambassadors to spread the word. Use free tools like Canva and Eventbrite to maintain a professional presence. Focus on authentic storytelling to foster emotional connections and meaningful engagement.

It is possible to apply the target population and the possibilities of collaboration and impact. In my experience, adding multidisciplinary input options provides greater possibilities for attention and/or comprehensive learning and, of course, the quality of the results of what is undertaken.

Social media can always be a bridge. However, connecting with local partners from a growth mindset can help you expand and share the knowledge in different spaces while also interacting with the community which it's important to ensure that your knowledge is in alignment with what the community really needs vs what you think it needs 💫
