Social media, aided by AI can be a blessing and a curse. On the one hand it offers great opportunity to amplify a point of view or idea. On the other hand there is enough misinformation and disinformation to last a lifetime. As a thought leader you need to be able to decipher truth from fiction, lies from verity, and facts from fabrications. A simple rule is to ask: who said it/wrote it, how credible are they, where is the information published, what evidence is there, does their profile look authentic, is the information they share consistent with what you know already, how long have they been an expert, for a content check use a plagiarism website and for images use a reverse image search.
