If we are facing resistance we should always turn skeptics into believers! And should start with empathy , listen to their “why not” & address it. We can always make training relatable, fun & tied to their goals. Imp is to always engage with stories, not slides. & build trust, not tension. After all we all know and experienced that Change is hard at first, messy in the middle & will always be gorgeous at the end so we need to show them the value & resistance will fade!

Antes de iniciar o treinamento os participantes precisam ter conhecimento do objetivo do programa, a importância e compreensão do valor agregado que esse aprendizado tratará a equipe. Após este tema ficar bem claro cabe ao líder buscar conhecer as expectativas dos participantes, envolver e criar conexões para buscar a participação da equipe no treinamento.

A resistência, para mim, é um convite à conexão. Quando ouvimos os participantes, entendemos suas preocupações e mostramos como o treinamento pode transformar desafios em oportunidades, tudo muda. Personalizar o conteúdo e destacar resultados práticos é o caminho para engajar e transformar. Mais do que ensinar, é preciso criar significado.

"Why do you disagree with the points I am presenting, I would love feedback so we can work toward a common goal of understanding"?. Have the humility to realize perhaps you are not presenting in a way that is reaching everyone in the audience. If they have valid points to share and are willing to give constructive criticism and work to find an answer that you both can get behind, great!" I am confident enough in myself to stand for a platform or idea I can get behind. Being a mentor and leader is not about always having the "correct" answer , but having the ability to open communication and really work with others to find the best answer. The most important thing is to find the best answer

It is always important to lead with empathy by actively listening to the person's concerns, be open minded by trying to understand the reasons why they are resistant, educate them by providing them facts and the benefits in the value of the training, address the specific issues they are concerned about, provide support and training, and incorporate the feedback as lessons learned for the next program to create a positive employee experience.

Dealing with a participants resistance during a training program is not such an uncommon situation. It is important to understand the trigger to that resistance which might have budded from his/her past experience of either- # the training not being helpful in performing their roles and responsibilities or # not moved any further on their career trajectory as promised after the training program. It is extremely important to understand the situation, empathetically explain the previous experience alongwith the importance of the training program and the contribution it will have in attaining further career goals.
