Zac Efron reveals why he stopped following a vegan diet

Zac Efron recently shared why he quit being a vegan after two years on an animal-free diet in his new interview.

“My body wasn’t processing vegetables the right way. So, I decided to quit and try something new,” the 34-year-old said.

“I opted for a high-protein diet, which allows me to eat only two meals a day, each containing meat, and drink apple cider vinegar before each,” the actor said.

Sharing details about his intermittent fast, Zac said he breaks his fast at 11 a.m. with bone broth soup and vegetables with “clean protein” like elk or chicken.

“I don’t eat anymore until later in the day when I have a meal with more meat and a healthy carb like sweet potatoes or quinoa,” said the Baywatch the star told the magazine.

Zac added that by forgoing a vegan diet, he can now eat “organ meats, liver and onions”.

At the end, the actor expressed regret over his lifestyle change and added, “Morally, of course, I’d still like to be vegan.”
