Subway, which will test the new meaty vegan options until next month, says it’s ‘proud’ to offer a wide range of plant-based options
Subway is testing two new vegan meat options for Veganuary – including plant-based steak and chicken tikka sandwiches.
The TLS (Tastes. Like. Steak.) will be trialed in 350 Subway stores in the south of England, while the TLC Tikka (Tastes.Like.Chicken.) will be trialed in select stores in the UK and Ireland.
Vegan meat options, which will feature on select menus from today through February 15, are available in 6-inch and footlong subs, as well as in a salad or wrap.

In a statement sent to Vegan food and life, Mays Elansari, UK and Ireland Marketing Manager at Subway, said, “Our new plant-based TLC Tikka and TLS taste so delicious that vegans, flexitarians and non-vegans alike will love them!
“At Subway, we pride ourselves on having one of the widest and tastiest ranges of plant-based choices on the high street, with no compromise on flavor or taste, to provide even more choices for our clients.”
Toni Vernelli, Global Head of Communications and Marketing at Veganuary, added, “We’re really excited to have Subway adding even more plant-based options to their menu in January with the Veganuary Special, TLC Tikka and Trial. of the TLS.
“Having lots of tasty plant-based choices to try makes vegan eating a little easier and a lot more enjoyable.”
