A STOCKTON Heath Restaurant will offer free vegan cuisine throughout January as part of ‘Veganuary’.
Founder and owner of Olive Tree Brasserie, Dean Wilson made the switch to vegan food two years ago and is now encouraging others to try it.
Having been an animal lover, his awareness and interest in becoming a vegan increased after he became increasingly aware of some of the health and environmental benefits of the lifestyle change.
Dean said: “I have always been interested and aware of the huge environmental impact we have as the hospitality industry.
“I’m ready to lead by example, making massive green improvements in my restaurants and educating my team so that they, in turn, can make positive lifestyle changes. ”
Dean has also started a deeply discounted dining program for all Olive Tree Brewery staff choosing vegan dishes.
Going forward, it plans to make 50% of its menu vegan by 2022.
* One free vegan dish per person, per day with any drink order of £ 6 or more. Reservations must be made online, quote ‘FREEVEGAN’ to enjoy your free dish. Available Sunday to Friday throughout January 2022. Subject to availability. Excludes Sunday roasts.
This is part of the owners’ plans to make the restaurant more vegan
