Mom came to a bitter argument with her husband after refusing to have non-vegan food at their daughter’s first birthday party – but her family are not happy about it

Mom doesn’t want food her daughter is allergic to at her own party

A mom sparked an interesting debate online, after revealing that she refused to have non-vegan foods at her daughter’s first birthday party.

The mum-of-three explained that when her youngest was just three months old, they found out that she was allergic to dairy products and eggs and couldn’t eat them in any form without being it makes her very bad.

So, on her first birthday next weekend, the mother decided that she wanted all food and drink to be free of ingredients that she couldn’t eat, so that the youngster didn’t end up accidentally eating. something that would make her sick.

“And of course being a baby she tends to grab whatever she wants, so having no allergens means I don’t have to worry if any of our other kids leave their food out. its scope.”

This makes perfect sense, considering it’s the little girl’s birthday, but the mother’s husband disagrees and argued that he and his family will not be eating vegan food.

“I hadn’t planned anything too much there. My mom volunteered to make her homemade vegetable soup, and I was going to make chocolate cake and frosting. The only difference between cake and frosting. normal and the one I do is applesauce instead of eggs and oat milk instead of cow’s milk, ”she explained.

“My husband just wants to make ‘normal’ pizza and cake because that’s what they love. I don’t understand the point of having a birthday meal that the birthday child doesn’t. can’t even eat, ”the mother concluded.

“I didn’t think it was too much to ask for to have a day in store for my daughter when she will have to spend the rest of her life working with everyone.”

One Reddit user commented, “It’s not her father’s day, and it’s not her cousins’ day. Yes, she’s just a baby right now, but she’s going to live with it.” those restrictions forever. You (and hopefully your husband) don’t want to set the precedent that for her birthday, not only does she have to spend the whole day seeing and smelling a bunch of delicious food that she doesn’t. can’t eat, but she also has to watch all of her family eat while she is alone. “

“Your daughter’s birthday is for her, not for them. If they’re stupid enough to not know that there are many vegan options that are delicious, and they refuse to try new things because ‘they “know” they won’t like it, maybe they’re not mature enough to attend a one-year-old’s party, ”another agreed.
