Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and his wife, actress Anushka Sharma, have invested in Blue Tribe, a local brand of plant-based meat. The couple will support the brand, which sells its products in several Indian cities, including Delhi and Mumbai.
Anushka and Virat shared the update on their respective social media pages. In the clip, the power couple talk about their association with the Blue Tribe brand. In a joint statement, the couple said Blue Tribe’s palate- and planet-friendly alternatives are “a great way to savor the experience of eating meat, without leaving an impact on planet Earth.”

In the video, Anushka said that they are both animal lovers and decided to adopt a meatless lifestyle.
“Collaborating with Blue Tribe is a step to telling people how they can be more mindful and have less impact on the planet by switching to a plant-based diet,” she said.
Endorsing Anushka’s views, Virat added that he is a foodie and wants to enjoy the kind of food he likes “without leaving a huge carbon footprint”.
Blue Tribe is founded by Sandeep Singh and Nikki Arora Singh. Sandeep said in a statement that their products are for non-vegetarians who want to switch to healthier, eco-friendly products without compromising the taste of their favorite dishes.
Plant-based meat is also called fake meat. The sale of plant-based meat products is said to have increased due to the widespread acceptance of diets that avoid animal products. Plant-based meats are lower in calories and fat, but are high in protein and fiber.
Plant-based meat products are made with plant-based products such as peas, soy, lentils, and grains.
