What we’re about
Welcome, we are a group of amazing women around the world, who are interested in connecting, networking, and learning from other women in the Power BI ecosystem. Data analytics is our superpower and we love sharing it! Join us!
** Group Rules of Conduct ** (we have a zero tolerance policy)
* Be Kind and Courteous - We're all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let's treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required
* No Hate Speech or Bullying - Make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind isn't allowed, and degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender, or identity will not be tolerated.
* No Promotions or Spam - Give more than you take to this group. Self-promotion, spam, and irrelevant links aren't allowed.
* Respect Everyone's Privacy - Being part of this group requires mutual trust. Authentic, expressive discussions make groups great, but may also be sensitive and private. What's shared in the group should stay in the group.

Hello Power BI Women!
We have our first “Book Club” event starting February 26, 2024, running through (potentially, October 7, 2024, and maybe longer.) We’ll be working the lessons from Gil Raviv’s book, “Collect, Combine, and Transform Data Using Power Query in Excel and Power BI.”

What does this cost?
For the event(s), this is FREE to Power BI Women members. I do ask that you purchase the book in some way, shape, or form, out of respect to the author. I understand there is a new release coming out in the Summer, so if you want to wait until then, I’m ok with that.
How will this work?
Approximately, every other week, starting February 26, 2024, Belinda Allen will lead you through a chapter, or portion of a chapter, at each event. There will be “hands -on” lessons, for which you will be provided the sample data. With each lesson, we will discuss what we know about the lesson, what we learned about the lesson, and what ideas we get about the lesson. This will be a completely interactive event. Bring your laptop, Power BI Desktop, and your “learning attitude” because we are going to have a great time investing in ourselves!Note: Even if you missed previous chapters, you can still join in.
Note: Each meeting will have a separate invite, to fit in with Belinda’s crazy schedule.

Why a second book when we are not finished with the first?
With the introduction of Fabric, particularly Fabric notebooks, using PySpark is a valuable tool. After inquiring, Belinda discovered that it is probably better to learn Python, then use it in PySpark, rather than just learning PySpark. So here we go!What does this cost?
