Why do I keep throwing up?
So I'm noob to this game and I've died twice now because I threw up. And I cant figure out why. The last time it was right after I ate 2 pieces of chicken and an apple. I cooked the chicken thoroughly on a furnace so it was definitely not that. Then I drank some pristine water in a bottle I found. I walk out of the house and take a few steps and then all of a sudden I am throwing up. Then I got sick and my health, food, and water started to drop like a rock. Five minutes later I was dead. Any answers would be much appreciated, thanks.

it wasnt the water that was pristine, but the bottle ;)

Oh, ok. That's good to know, thanks. I also just found out that dirty hands can make you sick too. Now I know to wash my hands before I eat.

always wash hands after skinning and empty the bottle when you find them and then refill from a well... then you will be good to go

Yes, thank you. I am slowly learning all these little things and now I am surviving longer. ;)

it can seem very steep at first but it just goes to make the game more fun I think

Little bit of an older post but if you want to try a lightly modded vanilla'ish server with no KOS I'd be happy to get you started and answer any questions.

Lazy DayZ is server name. Chenarus map.

Great server to learn on at your own pace, Admins there to help, Community Base to rest, cook, meet up with others. Get your survival going without watching your back all the time.

Boomer's PVE No PVP Community Base Some Mods Required. Tell them Red sent you. ;)
