10. Run All Night (2015)
In their third collaboration, Liam Neeson and director Jaume Collet-Serra joined forces for another action thriller, Run All Night. Jimmy Conlon (Liam Neeson) is an aging hit man who drowns his sorrows in the nearest bottle of alcohol. Things escalate for Jimmy when his estranged son Mike (Joel Kinnaman) mistakenly gets mixed up with the mob.
Believing this is a sign to make up for his sinful past, Jimmy fights to protect his son. Things get complicated when Jimmy’s best friend, mob boss Shawn Maguire (Ed Harris), becomes involved and goes after Mike. This situation won’t end peacefully, as Jimmy must take out his friend to save his son.
9. The Children's Train (2024)
While The Children’s Train characters are fictional, the movie is inspired by real events in Italy post-World War II. In 1945, the Italian Communist Party created a program called Treni Della Felicità, or “Happiness Trains.” This program allowed impoverished parents in Southern Italy to send their children to the northern part of the country to live with host families who would support them.
Antonietta (Serena Rossi) enrolls her 8-year-old son Amerigo (Christian Cervone) in the program, sending him to Modena. Amerigo lives with Derna (Barbara Ronch), a single woman who lost her boyfriend in the war. Amerigo envisions reuniting with his mother one day, but circumstances in their respective lives might prevent a reunion.
8. We're the Millers (2013)
Before he won the hearts of soccer fans as the quirky, positive coach Ted Lasso, Jason Sudeikis starred in a string of raunchy comedies in the early 2010s. One of those films was 2013’s We’re the Millers. Sudeikis stars as David Clark, a mediocre marijuana dealer who owes money to his supplier, Brad Gurdlinger (Ed Helms). To cancel his debt, David agrees to smuggle marijuana from Mexico into the U.S.
David hires stripper Rose (Jennifer Anniston), runaway Casey (Emma Roberts), and nerd Kenny (Will Poulter) to pose as his family, believing it will remove any suspicion that he’s smuggling drugs across the border. We’re the Millers is an effective comedy that makes us wonder if Sudeikis will return to these types of stories after Ted Lasso.
7. The Star (2017)
The biblical story of Christmas is seen through the eyes of animals in The Star. Uninterested in milling wheat, a donkey named Bo (Steven Yeun) escapes from his work. However, Bo injures his ankle and winds up outside the house of Mary (Gina Rodriguez) and Joseph (Zachary Levi), who take the donkey and show him kindness.
After a pregnant Mary and Joseph leave Nazareth for Bethlehem, Bo and his friend Dave (Keegan-Michael Key) set out to join the Royal Caravan. When the duo learn that Mary could be in danger, Bo abandons his mission to help save his former owner. For unto us, a child is born in this re-creation of the nativity story.
6. Mary (2024)
D.J. Caruso’s biblical epic about the birth of Jesus Christ is told through the Virgin Mary’s point of view. Mary traces the life of the titular girl (Noa Cohen) from Nazareth who falls in love with Joseph (Ido Tako) of Galilee. As a teen, the angel Gabriel (Dudley O’Shaughnessy) appears to Mary and tells her she will become the mother of Jesus Christ.
However, Mary is shunned from society after becoming pregnant before marriage despite never having intercourse. Forced into hiding, Mary and Joseph marry and head to Bethlehem to have the baby. The newlyweds must be careful and protect their child, especially after the tyrannical King Herod (Anthony Hopkins) orders the Messiah to be murdered.
5. Our Little Secret (2024)
Lindsay Lohan’s quest to become Netflix’s Christmas rom-com queen continues with her latest movie, Our Little Secret. A decade later, Avery dates Cam (Jon Rudnitsky) while Logan is with Cassie (Katie Baker). In a cruel twist of fate, Cam and Cassie are siblings, meaning Avery and Logan must spend Christmas together. The exes choose to keep their previous relationship secret from Cam and Cassie’s mother, Erica (original Wicked star Kristin Chenoweth). This will go down as either a holiday disaster or a Christmas miracle.

This Christmas, the residents experience the worst snowstorm in the town’s history, affecting everyone’s Christmas plans, including Santa’s (Brian Cox). From lonely children and stranded parents to stressful meet-ups and present-less gatherings, things are shaping up to be a Christmas disaster. Sometimes, you need a little Christmas magic to turn things around.
3. Subservience (2024)
If Me3Gan were a housewife, she would be the AI in Subservience. Nick Peretti (Michele Morrone) becomes the do-it-all father to his two young kids, Isla (Matilda Firth) and Max (Jude Allen Greenstein), after his wife Maggie’s (Madeline Zima) hospitalization. Because of his construction background, Nick is ill-equipped to handle the daily tasks required to keep his home afloat.
Desperate for help, Nick purchases a human-like android called Alice (Megan Fox) to assist at home. In the beginning, Alice is a massive help to Nick with the kids. However, she increasingly becomes more attached and overprotective of the children. Once Maggie returns home, there is tension between Alice and the family. Maggie wants to be the mother again, but Alice refuses to give up her power, leading to a dangerous situation.

One of the biggest box office hits — $351 million gross against a $25 million budget — of 2024 is now on Netflix. Based on Colleen Hoover’s 2016 novel, It Ends with Us stars Blake Lively as Lily Bloom, a young woman with dreams of opening her flower shop in Boston. On the rooftop of an apartment complex, Lily meets Ryle Kincaid (Justin Baldoni), a handsome neurosurgeon. The two instantly connect and eventually begin a relationship.
Things become complicated when Lily runs into her teenage love, Atlas Corrigan (Brandon Sklenar). This makes Ryle jealous, who begins to show a darker side toward Lily. Eventually, Lily must choose who she wants to be with, though the most important decision will be how she handles her deep-rooted trauma involving domestic abuse.

On the other line of the earpiece is a mysterious traveler (Bateman), who blackmails Ethan into letting a dangerous package slip through TSA. If Ethan refuses, the traveler will kill Nora (Sofia Carson), Ethan’s pregnant girlfriend. Refusing to let innocent people die, Ethan decides to play by the traveler’s rules while simultaneously conjuring up a plan to save the airport.
