What is data science, and how can it uncover stories from the past...? 🔍 ✨ Meet our Data Science Centre community member Chiara Piccoli, Research Associate and Data Scientist at the 4D Research Lab, Faculty of Humanities! 💡 Chiara applies computational methods for spatial analysis, geo-mapping, and 3D modeling to explore historical relationships between people, their environments, and material culture. Recently, she received an NWO XS grant to investigate 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗔𝗜 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀. 📌 Project highlight of the year is the 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿, created at the 4D Research Lab. ✨ This month, we shine the spotlight on our Data Science Centre Affiliate Member Max Paulus, Research Engineer at the FMG Research Lab.   Max has been working on the launch of a new support service for software and cloud infrastructure at the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences (FMG).
