Yay, I just finished my first e-book! Why did I write this eBook? Over the last decade of working closely with students, I've noticed a decline in motivation and engagement. I decided to dig deep and research what’s really at the heart of this issue. One key insight is that we often prioritize our own values over what truly matters to students. I wanted to shift that approach—designing our courses and curricula to serve their needs instead of having students simply conform to a checklist. Through various experiments, I aimed to shift this focus. I went on an exploratory journey with students to discover what drives their intrinsic motivation. And it worked. When students connect their personal values and aspirations to their learning, they become more engaged, proactive, and fulfilled. It’s all about making classes truly transformative. Designing meaningful activities and asking the right questions is essential. To support you in creating these impactful learning experiences, I’ve compiled my findings in my e-book: Boosting Student Motivation: A Comprehensive Guide with 75 Engaging Teaching Methods and 200+ Coaching Questions to Inspire Your Students. Do you want to improve your programme’s connection with today’s learners? Let’s connect! I’d love to help you create engaging learning environments. I’d love your feedback to make the next version even better. A shoutout to the Creative Business HU programme for allowing me to experiment with this new teaching approach, especially to Richard Versmissen and Dr Mari Carmen Puerta Melguizo. I’d also like to thank Nicoleta Anton and Naomi Thellier de Poncheville for being my partners in crime during this journey. ♻️ Repost this if you think this e-book could be valuable for people in your network.
