Use the NextFEM-VIKTOR integration to automate structural engineering tasks, like Finite Element Analysis, determining material properties, and sharing analysis results with others easily. NextFEM provides software and services to structural designers, which can be used alone or to be a pre- or post-processor for other FEM packages, like #SAP2000, #OpenSees, and #MIDAS. Just a little #Python knowledge is required! This tutorial explains how, with just a few lines of Python code, you can integrate NextFEM with VIKTOR and easily visualize and share a model and the results. Find out what you can do with the NextFEM-VIKTOR integration: https://lnkd.in/dtwyet-G

How to automate frame section creation in SAP2000 with Python and Excel🐍 If you're a structural engineer, you know it can be cumbersome to manually define properties for dozens of beams and columns, each with its own unique materials and dimensions. It’s a necessary task, but it can quickly become time-consuming and prone to error. Luis Enrique Maldonado de la Torre also wondered if there was no easier way and found a solution! Using the #SAP2000 API and #Python, it’s possible to automate the creation of frame sections by pulling section properties directly from an #Excel file. This way you streamline your workflow and reduce the chances of mistakes! In this blog, Luis shares the step-by-step process of setting up this automation. Take a look and see how it works: https://lnkd.in/ewnhRvjr #StructuralEngineering #StructuralAnalysis

In November, we came together for a team-building day that reminded us we’re not just a group of individuals—we’re one cohesive team 🌟 Guided by Gejo Achtereekte and Merel, we explored the #DISCmodel to gain deeper insights into our colleagues and their unique approaches to work and communication. These activities sparked meaningful conversations about communication styles, work processes, sensitivity, and finding compromises. A key takeaway? The importance of considering the "colors" in your interactions with colleagues. By adjusting our communication styles, we can foster better understanding and more effective collaboration. 😊 As the VIKTOR team continues to grow, so does our diversity—in every sense of the word. This diversity is our strength! Together, we leverage individual strengths to complement each other’s weaknesses. Automate the boring, engineer the awesome! 🚀
