Firda's new identity in action. The merger of Friesland College and ROC Friese Poort has resulted in Firda: a modern, socially-driven brand that places personal, professional, and regional growth at its core. We brought this vision to life with a bold visual identity now visible across campuses, signage, vehicles, print, and digital channels. The result? A brand that seamlessly connects craftsmanship, community, and lifelong learning. The Cambuur Stadion location serves as the first tangible showcase of this transformation. 🌳 As we approach Green Friday, we reflect on our recent green impact 🌳 Last Friday, we joined Natuurkracht Month in Mechelen to plant trees and help create Limburg’s longest hedge - a natural solution to protect against drought and flooding. A small step with a big impact. Our colleagues from Zuiderlicht developed an inspiring campaign for Natuurkracht to highlight the importance of nature restoration and encourage everyone to do their part. As part of our journey to becoming B Corp certified, we’re walking the talk, taking action and creating awareness for a better future. Natuurkracht is an initiative of Natuur en Milieufederatie Limburg, Het Limburgs Landschap, ARK Rewilding Nederland, Natuurmonumenten, and Wereld Natuur Fonds (WWF-NL), supported by the Nationale Postcode Loterij. How cool is this to share: Team Mekluppie won the Audience Award at HackaLOD 2024 last weekend! In the iconic Olympisch Stadion Amsterdam, 11 teams from four countries took on the challenge of innovating with cultural heritage data. Our squad - Martijn Arts, Patrick van Zadel, Ivo Zandhuis, Mark Lindeman, Merel Geerlings, and Ilse Rombout, developed a tool within just 24 hours that brings sports archives to life for each club, inviting them to add their own stories and preserve the spirit of amateur sports. They pulled an all-nighter, rocked it, and definitely earned a well-deserved rest.
