A Refreshing Take on Startup Support by Superconnectors. While almost all startup events are focused on raising money, very few are about finding the right people. As someone who's passionate about #building ecosystems, I had a great experience attending Superconnectors last week to explore their unique startup event format. Rather than pitching achievements, this format lets founders tackle their most pressing challenges—where a single connection can change everything. Here’s how it works: 1️⃣ Ask: Selected startups present their biggest challenges and critical asks. 2️⃣ Bid: A room full of "superconnectors"—well-connected individuals—compete to offer the most valuable connections from their networks to solve those challenges. Bids are submitted via app and displayed on stage. 3️⃣ Connect: With limited time and all eyes on them, the presenting startup decides on the winning intro on the spot. Unlike traditional events, the pressure isn’t on the founders but on the superconnectors competing to outdo each other with intros. You can imagine, the energy was something else. As an ecosystem builder myself, having attended and organized countless web3 startup events, I’ve never seen anything like this.
