🚢 Class inspection Underwater by R.O.V in Mozambic for Smit Lamnalco 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥 : Conduct an underwater inspection (IWS) on 3 of their twin vessels. In just 2 hours per vessel, we were able to demonstrate that technology makes all the difference, offering a faster, safer, and more efficient solution! 🔧 Class surveyor's feedback for R.O.V inspection : 𝐅𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 : The inspection is carried out without divers, reducing intervention times. 🌊 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 : No one goes underwater, minimizing risks 🦺 𝐒𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 : With the operator nearby, no distracting noises or misunderstandings of direction. 💬 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐝 : Underwater actions are quicker and more targeted. 🎯 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 : Video streaming quality unseen so far ( 4K) as you can see in the attached pictures. 📷 The ROV makes it easy to organise this type of inspection, which is important in this area, at a much 𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭, with 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 transporting the equipment in the hold, and all this while improving the quality of the inspection. Great job on Wednesday by Heron Island and Lulu crews. They were on show for APLNG owners and customers for their 1000th export cargo in Gladstone. All of the terminal managers and overseas buyers were very impressed with the display. APLNG in Gladstone exports to China and Japan along with supplying 30% of Australia’s domestic LNG market ⚓

Since the first STS (Ship to Ship) operation on November 11th 2022, Smit Lamnalco has completed 50 successful LNG STS operations at the FLNG facility offshore Mozambique. It has been an amazing journey from where we started with till where we are today and with the dedication from our crews and pilots we managed to deliver best in class services. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our Crewmembers on board our tugs, our Pilots and Account Managers for their dedication, commitment, flexibility, and hard work.
