The Dutch Water Investment Scene is Moving Up! Thanks to Invest-NL for organizing a great event and for the insightful conclusions from their water deep dive. There is still much to be done, but it is amazing to see organizations such as Invest-NL, Rabobank and many others taking on a more active role in promoting the water transition. Great to see our own Job van Schelven stir things up in a panel alongside Jildau Boerma and Stefan Weijers, where they shared thoughts on the critical role of innovation in driving the water transition, the hurdles in scaling innovative solutions and the essential roles that both private and public funding play in overcoming these challenges. And we got a chance to catch-up with our fellow Dutch water advocates!

The province of Zeeland, the Netherlands is a laboratory for water issues; beyond the ever needed protecting against the sea, it experiences severe drought, salinity of soil, depletion of ground waters and chemical and toxic pollution (even after wastewater is treated). Fortunately, the solution can be found in Zeeland as well and PureBlue Water is proudly nominated for the Innovation Award Emergo. PureTerra Ventures commends Angelo De Mul and his team. #PureBlue #PureTerra #Zeeland #watersustainability #circulairwater #valuingwater #waterreuse

Please forgive Xavier van Slooten, his selfie skills need some work... 😅 Nic Pannekeet and Xavier had an excellent discussion with Simone Callioni about potential synergies between PureTerra Ventures and Aquatech. We explored several key topics, including the growing importance of Zero Liquid Discharge in industrial projects and some of the exciting initiatives Simone is currently working on with Aquatech. At PureTerra, we’re conducting a deep dive on this topic, and have seen multiple technologies that focus on this space. It was great to exchange insights on the technologies emerging in this space. It’s always great to connect with like-minded individuals who value technological innovation and disruption like we do. This conversation offered valuable insights that will help us in identifying best-in-class technologies, furthering our mission: Clean Water for All. Roger Berry, the CEO of our portfolio company Sudoc and now famously dubbed "The Ten-Million Dollar Man," (thanks, Antoine Walter 😀) recently joined Antoine on the (don't) Waste Water podcast! It was a fantastic conversation where Antoine and Roger discussed: - The inception and vision behind Sudoc; - The groundbreaking catalyst developed by Dr. Terry Collins, and its potential applications as a drop-in technology in wastewater treatment (possibly even PFAS remediation...); - Sudoc's ambition to reduce the amount of chemicals entering our waterways and, consequently, the amount of chemicals absorbed by humans; - The latest funding round Sudoc secured with Momentum Capital and PureTerra Ventures team. Definitely worth a listen! Job van Schelven Dylan Perales Alexander Crowell Gijs de Bruin Nic Pannekeet Lou Arzur Xavier van Slooten
In this week's release ⬇️ 🤫 The secret tactic, inspired by nature, that's almost like doping (but legal) 🧪 Another (legal) doping product (or... catalyst!) that applies that tactic - with Roger Berry (from Sudoc) 📦 I'm (still) moving - but the studio is almost there! (... almost 😅) 🍬 Why you should pass on AI, Quebec's big splash, and why you should not listen (too much) to your sales guys Written while my son "installed" my new bookshelf in the back. 🔧
