This week, our consultant Shubh Mistry worked with the Windy City Wire site team to set them up for success with their IFS Ultimo system. Starting from scratch, MaxGrip helped configure the system in just three days, enabling the team to start utilizing it for their specific needs. Here’s what was accomplished: ✅ Asset Hierarchy: All equipment and their parent/child relationships were mapped out ✅ Warehouse Setup: Parts, locations, and inventory for the main warehouse were integrated ✅ Ultimo Go/Mobile: Configured with custom enhancements for seamless use on the go ✅ Work Order Flow: Tailored to the customer’s needs using MaxGrip’s proven best practices ✅ User Setup: Authorization, user groups, and personnel were fully configured, creating a functional test environment ready for action While this was a soft go-live, Windy City Wire’s technicians and end-users are now empowered to utilize the system in their day-to-day operations, transitioning to a customized and robust EAM solution. This setup demonstrates how WCW is now equipped to maximize the benefits of their tailored system, starting strong from day one!

During IFS Unleashed in October, IFS Ultimo had the privilege of featuring Maverick Natural Resources, one of its latest onshore oil and natural gas clients. Senior Facilities Engineer Patrick Kester shared insights into the company’s progressive strategy for integrating a top-tier enterprise asset management (EAM) system into its technological framework. Maverick’s success is due, in part, to the focus of Ultimo’s implementation partner MaxGrip, who led a great project to support our joint client’s objectives. Read more: https://ifs.link/Xoqhyd

Change management is only needed for major change projects. This is a misconception. Managing organizational change is oftentimes perceived as necessary only for large-scale projects. This view underestimates the importance of change management in all types of initiatives in asset management, regardless of their size or scope. Change management involves guiding and supporting individuals and teams through transitions, ensuring that changes are implemented smoothly and effectively. Whether the change is significant, such as a company-wide digital transformation, or more modest, such as the optimization of the way of working in an exisiting EAM system, the principles of change management remain important. Even small changes can have a significant impact on daily operations and employee morale. Without proper change management, these seemingly minor adjustments can lead to resistance, confusion, and decreased productivity. Conversely, when change management principles are applied, employees are more likely to embrace the change, understand its benefits, and integrate it into their workflows seamlessly. At the core is communication: even if a project is small, communicate about the changes and gain stakeholder buy-in from the start. This significantly increases the changes of making the changes successful in the long run. So, change management is not just for large-scale projects; it is essential for any initiative that alters the status quo. Question: How has effective change management impacted your smaller projects? 👁Shifting the Perspective 👁
