We did it! 🥳 As a member of the Child Rights Action Group (CRAG), World Vision EU Representation is proud to celebrate the re-establishment of the European Parliament Intergroup on Children’s Rights. We're excited to continue working with the European Parliament over the next five years to mainstream children’s rights across and beyond the EU and make sure that their voices are taken into account in all EU policies, including in the EU's external action. We feel privileged to have participated in the discussion with EMPL Director-General Mario Nava. Chiara Piccolo, as part of the LLLP Steering Committee and our Head of European Affairs, highlighted the urgent need for robust investments in early childhood education and care. Her message was clear: to help children thrive, fight child poverty, and promote inclusion for the most vulnerable, we must prioritize the well-being of both teachers and parents. We advocate for educational reforms and integrated policies that invest in educators and parents, nurturing children’s unique potential starts with supporting their carers. #ChildGuarantee #Education #Wellbeing

Driven by the vision of a world where every child can fulfil their unique potential, we implement global projects that prioritise holistic well-being, school reform, and intergenerational collaboration. By empowering children and adults to work together, we create meaningful change that impacts communities worldwide. 💡 In Bolivia (Act2gether Bolivia) and Palestine (Universal Education Foundation), children are leading the way. 💬 They are advocating for their rights, sharing their dreams, and reminding us of the critical need for safe spaces where their voices are heard, valued, and acted upon. 🎥 Now, let’s hear from them directly! Their words inspire us to continue striving for a brighter and more inclusive tomorrow. 👇 #YouthEmpowerment #SocialChange #Intergenerational #Partnership

🌟 What an Inspiring #LLLWeek! 🌟 This week was filled with meaningful conversations, collaborative learning, and a shared commitment to advancing inclusion. Here are some key highlights: 🎤 Panel with iBox Project Partners The discussion explored how access and participation in learning can be expanded through participatory experiences, empowering individuals to apply new tools and insights in their own contexts. 💡 Conclusions: 🗨️ Access is a threshold of exclusion and inclusion—not fixed states, but evolving forces. This project asks how we can expand those boundaries. 🗨️ Participation means more than showing up—it’s about meaningful engagement that influences decisions. 💬 Roundtable with Policy Makers, moderated by Chiara Piccolo 🗨️ A quote from our Head of European Affairs: "Inclusive education means every learner is embraced, respected, and supported to reach their potential in their unique way, in a safe and nurturing environment." 💡 Consensus: Structural barriers to inclusion persist. Instead of reinventing the wheel, policymakers must focus on stronger implementation of inclusive practices. Let’s turn words into action! 🛠️ LAB Workshop on Access & Participation, led by Léa Verzeroli Participants delved into: 1️⃣ Personal experiences in decision-making for learning. 2️⃣ Key drivers and blockers of participation. 3️⃣ Strategies to foster participation within their spheres of influence. ☕ World Café: Policy Support for Inclusive Education Takeaways: 1️⃣ Policies for inclusion must align across social, health, and financial sectors. 2️⃣ Young people need spaces to actively participate in decisions that affect them. 3️⃣ Schools should integrate community services, such as mental health support, to strengthen ties between schools and communities. 4️⃣ Youth advocacy groups must play a role in EU policy-making, holding leaders accountable for inclusive civic engagement. ✨ Together, these insights emphasize the importance of collaboration and action for meaningful change! 💪 A heartfelt thank you to all the participants, partners, and the Lifelong Learning Platform - European Civil Society for Education for making this week a true success. Let’s keep the momentum going! #InclusiveEducation #Wellbeing

🌟 Highlights from the 95th QoC Session! 🌟 Today’s discussions focused on unlocking creativity, autonomy, and resilience for educators. Here are the key takeaways: 💡 European Commission’s Vision: Teaching is a journey of continuous learning. From mentoring and mobility programs to knowledge-sharing platforms, the European Commission is shaping policies to support teachers at every step. Chiara Piccolo, presented the guidelines on supporting well-being at school (developed by the EC expert group), advocating for the integration of well-being principles into initial teacher education. 🎭 Clowning for Resilience: Martyn Rawson (European Council for Steiner Waldorf Education ECSWE) demonstrated how theatre clowning can be used as a tool to enhance teachers’ self-awareness, adaptability, and grounding. Improvisation isn’t just for the stage—it’s a vital skill for navigating the unexpected moments of teaching! 🧠 Psychological Support in Schools: Dr. May Joan Camilleri (EMDR Europe Association) emphasized the importance of psychological education through EMDR, offering strategies for prevention, intervention, and recovery to support teachers’ mental health. 📣 From Frameworks to Action: Dominic Richardson highlighted the urgency of moving from European-level frameworks to national-level implementation. Member states must bring these innovative guidelines to life to make a real impact on teacher well-being. ✨ Empowering educators to thrive and making well-being a cornerstone of education is essential for the future of learning. #TeacherWellbeing #EducationInnovation #QoCSession

🌍✨ In celebration of #WorldChildrensDay, the Ethics Working Group of the International and Canadian Child Rights Partnership (ICCRP) is hosting a virtual webinar on "To Pay or Not to Pay? The Ethics of Compensation in Research." 💡 As more children and youth play active roles in co-producing research, questions about how to fairly and ethically recognize their contributions become more pressing. Should children and young people be ‘paid’ for their involvement? What assumptions and implications come with that decision? 🤔 Join us as we explore these ethical dilemmas and discuss respectful practices across diverse contexts. Let’s work together to build a future where every child’s participation is celebrated and supported! 💬✨ #ChildRights #YouthLeadership #ICCRP
