Throwback to our recent sailing trip on the Sneekermeer! Initially the sailing was slightly difficult, as there was no wind. We did however have plenty of rain. Luckily after a well deserved lunch, the wind picked up and all hands were on deck. Everything went smoothly, until a strong gust of wind surprised us! Our socks soaked up half of the lake and even our fearless skipper thought that was enough for the day. More rain and wind caused us to make our way back to the harbor in turbulent weather. Witnesses have claimed cookies were flying left, right and centre! Here are a few snapshots of our “dryest” moments on board. Meet our newest Data Architect, Jasper Bal! "I've spent the past 15 years in the Online Advertising Industry as an Engineering Manager, Software, and Data Architect. Not everyone is a fan of ads, but from an IT perspective, it's a very interesting industry. It involves billions of transactions every day, typically requiring handling within 100 ms. This creates special requirements for software, data, and infrastructure." When asked why he chose Infuze, Jasper said, "At Infuze and our sister companies, the human factor is key. As an IT boutique, we work in a tight team where everyone knows each other and can collaborate easily. With a network of sister companies, we can scale up quickly and tap into expertise from various domains." Jasper hit the ground running upon joining Infuze: "In my first week, the team organized a highly successful Full Stack Conference. In my second week I joined the government project 'Wendbaar Wetgeven' to assist in implementing the reference architecture. This will enable us to promptly assess the impacts of legislative changes and expedite implementation. It's satisfying to contribute to reliable government." Needless to say, Infuze warmly welcomes Jasper to the team!
