H&S Group originated in the northern part of the Netherlands as a family business that transported milk. Over the years, as it grew, the company adapted to market developments and customer needs. The result? A pan-European network of 200 privately owned trucks and tank trailers, almost 1,500 tank containers for the liquid foodstuff industry, a network of dedicated subcontractors all over Europe, 2 cleaning stations and filling facilities for our co-packer activities. All in all, we have almost 80 years of experience in transporting, processing and organising liquid foodstuff throughout Europe. We transport, we organise, we process We want to facilitate our customers. Every sustainable concept is created uniquely for a particular customer; there is a reason why we have grown by staying small. The focus here is on cost efficiency, flexibility and innovative solutions.     H&S Group BV, a leader in the transportation of liquid foodstuffs, has placed an order for 20 new DAF XG 480 FT trucks. H&S, part of Royal Den Hartogh Logistics, selected DAF Trucks NV after an extensive evaluation process. The new DAF vehicles will be delivered by dealer Bakker Bedrijfswagens in early 2025. H&S, acquired by Den Hartogh last March, chose DAF based on trust in the brand and the service provided by Bakker Bedrijfswagens. The DAF XG stands out with its modern and spacious cab, offering unparalleled comfort for long-distance journeys. The low curb weight of the truck is another advantage, particularly important in the distribution of liquid foodstuffs, a specialty of H&S.     Royal Den Hartogh Logistics, specialised in global transportation for the chemical, gas, and food industries, expands its portfolio by acquiring H&S Group, a leader in the transportation of liquid foodstuffs in Europa. Ubbo Hempenius, owner of H&S Group, and Pieter den Hartogh, Group Managing Director of Royal Den Hartogh Logistics, signed an agreement on 15 March 2024 whereby Den Hartogh acquired all shares in H&S Group. H&S will become the fifth business unit of Den Hartogh, alongside the business units Liquid, Gas, Global and Dry Bulk. The acquisition encompasses all business units and joint ventures of H&S Group, with the exception of the Cleaning & Filling business unit in Barneveld (NL). By expanding its range of services, Den Hartogh is strengthening its global market position as a leading logistics service provider. The transaction is subject to regulatory clearance.
