Today, we celebrate the 6-month anniversary for GoDutch 🎉 🎉 🎉 The team and I are proud to what we have achieved in so little time, some highlights of the first 180 days: - 2,000+ active IBANs - 2,650+ verified users - 33,000+ transactions - €75,000,000+ processed Just wait to see what we can do in a year! I am grateful to our users for trusting in us, to the incredible team who dedicated countless days, and often nights, weekends, and holidays, to making this possible, and to partners for their support! Thank you all!

After winning the national competition, GoDutch was presenting at Mastercard for Fintechs European Finals in Paris. We didn't take the 🏆 home, but it was an amazing experience and a great opportunity to share our vision for better banking with fintech specialists from all over Europe. Thank you to Jan-Willem, Heval, Judith, Mercedes and all other Mastercard people for arranging everything and providing the chance to compete!

"Stepping in to the lion's den", that's how founders of challenger banks are supposed to feel entering the stage at the headquarters of the biggest bank in The Netherlands. Ironically, the bank ING even has a lion as its logo 🦁 I was invited to present the GoDutch journey for Mobey Forum, a collective of banks for innovation, founded 25 years ago by UBS, Nordea and HSBC. Collaboration is essential to realizing our vision of transforming the financial world, it demands collective effort and shared commitment. So, when the opportunity arose to present our vision to over 100 major banks and providers from all across the world, I took it with both hands! 🙌 Thank you to Sini, Annamária and Elina for organizing everything so perfectly. Also, a big thanks Mobey Forum for inviting me and Ximedes for the dinner!

Today we celebrate our five-month anniversary! I’ve dreamed of being a professor one day, so getting invited to speak at university is always a special experience for me 🎓✨ Engaging with students is always a highlight, the curiosity, energy, and fresh ideas make these sessions a real pleasure. Today’s group was especially interactive, and I hope I’ve helped lay some groundwork for their entrepreneurial visions to take off! We covered so much, from successes, failures, and ideation to critical success factors and my most important lesson: start selling as soon as possible! A big thank you to the students and the University of Amsterdam and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam). Also, a special thanks to Bram Kuijken for the invite and showing embarrassing videos of me from the Poopy Cat days 😂 As mentioned during the lecture, GoDutch is looking for interns and (part-time) working students in marketing, design, and operations, but above all, we value motivation! Last week, I learned that 468 million children worldwide live in areas affected by armed conflict. That’s 1 in 6. It took a moment for that to sink in. Ernst Suur, who has dedicated over two decades to War Child Nederland, shared with me the incredible work the organization does for these children. It’s both inspiring and absolutely essential. That’s why we’re pleased to announce GoDutch’s third social partnership with War Child 💙. For years to come, we’ll be supporting their vital mission. Our users can now donate their benefits, partially or fully, to support War Child’s remarkable work in providing emergency mental health aid to children in conflict zones. Their methods are grounded in scientific evidence, ensuring every child gets the help they need. A big thank you to Charlie, Guimette and David for helping establish this partnership. Very important in light of recent developments in the world.
