💡Key takeaways from our Berlin C-level Meetup Series on AI in ClimateTech 💡 On December 2nd, our invite-only ClimateTech gathering brought together over 30 senior executives from companies like Enpal, Enter, thermondo, Ostrom, Dryad Networks, Vinted, zolar, Sunfire, Lumenzana, Techem Energy Services GmbH, Extantia, HTGF, feld.energy, and many others. It was an evening of exchanging insights, challenges, and ideas, all centered around AI and data innovation in the energy sector. Here are the three key learnings from the evening: 1️⃣ Data assets are the real competitive advantage. Only this unlocks valuable models - not spending 10 more hours on finetuning. It’s all about the right data and infrastructure to extract value and drive innovation. 2️⃣ Having senior leaders from across the industry in one room sparked an exciting idea: combining data between different companies could unlock an entirely new level of value. Let’s see if this conversation evolves into future joint ventures.💡 3️⃣ And let’s talk about data quality. One of the biggest challenges? Ensuring a constant, uninterrupted flow of data—which, amusingly (or painfully), often fails because of the state of internet infrastructure in Germany. After an in-depth assessment during the Data & ML Audit led by Floris Heijmans, we identified key bottlenecks.
