Resources and services for research communities to translate scientific discoveries into patient benefit
Over ons
EATRIS is the European infrastructure for translational medicine. We bring together resources and services for research communities to translate scientific discoveries into benefits for patients. We provide access to a vast array of pre-clinical and clinical expertise and facilities that are available within 115+ top-tier academic centres across Europe. We focus on improving and optimising preclinical and early clinical development of drugs, vaccines and diagnostics, and overcome barriers to health innovation. Our research infrastructure offers a broad range of research services for both academia and industry across various research fields. In addition, we work with public funding agencies, charities and policy makers with tailored actions to help improve the translational research and innovation ecosystem.

The FAST - Centre for Future Affordable Sustainable Therapy Development has launched a Handbook for ATMP Developers, offering essential guidance for researchers navigating the development and regulatory journey of Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (#ATMPs). Saco de Visser (Scientific Director at FAST and Governor of #EATRIS_NL) comments: ”Access to ATMPs is critical for patients, as these innovative therapies offer transformative potential for conditions that current treatments cannot adequately address. However, the complex regulatory pathways and specific requirements can hinder timely, affordable and sustainable access. It's essential that we bridge these gaps, ensuring clarity for developers and fostering a healthcare system where patients can benefit from these groundbreaking advancements.” 👉 Find out more here: https://lnkd.in/drywnnnz
