Within the Cosun innovation center, we would like to encourage all kinds of collaborations. One of our collaborations is with the Dutch Kidney Foundation and Nextkidney. Cosun has made the Cosun innovation center available and support their research in processing Jack Beans for their Neokidney portable hemodialysis device. Last Friday Sjaak Jong gave an update on his research to all our colleagues. Cosun has also been a supporter for the Nierstichting and will be the location of the last pitstop in this year’s Coast to Coast Challenge.

Thursday the 28th of November a group of first year chemistry and chemical technology students from the Utrecht University of Applied Sciences visited Cosun in Dinteloord. First stop was ‘Planet Beet’, where the students were submerged in the world of the sugar beet, including a tour to the impressive sugar factory. The visit was completed in the Cosun Innovation Center. Here the students learnt about Cosun RD&I and the facilities were shown to make innovation reality. It was fun hosting and nice to see people leaving with enthusiasm and new insights on the relevance of and opportunities with their studies

Within Cosun RD&I we can support innovation projects through our acceleration programs together with Tekkoo. Lately, we held an acceleration café within the Cosun innovation center to facilitate some peer learning and feedback with the alumni of this program. We were also taken on the journey to the world's greatest audience by FrankSmallegange.nl. We look back on an inspirational day!

Ook binnen het Cosun innovation center zetten wij veiligheid op plek nummer 1! We zijn dan ook trots dat we de Cosun Safety Pilar days hebben mogen hosten. Hier waren van alle locaties (incl. China) 1 of meer leden van de plaatselijke veiligheidspilaar aanwezig en werd informatie en best practices gedeeld. Hierbij moet je denken aan Safety programs, “Slip, Trip en Falls”, PDCA, Safety and TPM, Machine veiligheid, ATEX en gevaarlijke stoffen. We kijken terug op succesvolle dagen, safety first!

𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗻 125 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 | 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘁: 𝗝𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗴 From the lab to management, to organising a festival – Judith van den Berg’s nearly 25 years at Cosun are defined by learning new things and taking on new opportunities. “I now work as innovation manager at Cosun RD&I, but I started as a chemical analyst. After roles as a department manager and later account manager, I arrived at my current position.” “Part of why I’ve enjoyed working at Cosun for such a long time, are both the opportunities you’re given to grow as an individual, as well as being part of an organisation that’s always moving forward. And in a cooperative, you always know who you’re working for.” In addition to the many hats Judith’s worn at Cosun, she’s the project leader for ‘Cosun 125 years’, our anniversary year. Voor nieuwe medewerkers wordt twee keer per jaar vanuit Royal Cosun een onboardingsdag georganiseerd. Nieuwe collega’s uit verschillende businessgroepen leren elkaar kennen en worden ondergedompeld in het verhaal van onze coöperatie Cosun en haar activiteiten. Deze dag vindt plaats in het Cosun innovation center Dinteloord, waar in de ochtend een inspirerende presentatie vanuit de board wordt gegeven, gevolgd door een interactieve middag.

Wie jarig is trakteert! ook in het Cosun innovation center Dinteloord 125 jaar Cosun! - 19 oktober 2024 Op 19 oktober 1899 legden 173 dappere akkerbouwers uit Zeeuws-Vlaanderen de basis voor iets bijzonders: de oprichting van de eerste Nederlandse coöperatieve suikerfabriek. Vandaag, 125 jaar later, vieren we deze mijlpaal en de groei van Cosun tot een toonaangevende coöperatie in de voedingsmiddelenindustrie.
