As we close the year, I look back and realise change is truly a constant, as a team, we got much closer, sharing more experiences & challenges in our projects. We grew by sticking our heads out and did our first lunch & learn on LLM's and AI. Doing a first talk in front of an audience is also daunting but rewarding. So onwards and upwards it is for Code Nomads Utrecht, I can't wait for what 2025 has in store for us! #teambuilding #knowledgesharing

Each Nomad received an ELEGOO UNO R3 Project Starter Kit – a complete Arduino playground with 200+ components! 🎁 The mission? Create something magical and winter-themed! We can't wait to see what our talented Nomads will build and demo in 2025. From LED snowfall displays to automated holiday decorations, the possibilities are endless! 🌨️💡Of course, we'll share the outcomes here in 2025! Whether you're coding from a cozy coffeebar in the Netherlands, a beach in Brazil, or anywhere in between, we wish all our fellow developers, clients, and tech enthusiasts a wonderful holiday season filled with creativity, innovation, and joy!

The Amsterdam tribe went full geek on a 3-day hackathon this week. Our annual hackathon is always a great team experience, blending coding, learning, and just a lot of fun. We split into small teams and tackled a shared challenge with creativity and skill – and in a surprising twist, the winning team of 👷 Artem Makarov and Artsiom Grin emerged with the use of #GenerativeAI. This win highlighted what we value most at Code Nomads: the joy of creating something from scratch, sharing knowledge, and pushing innovation forward. 💻 As software developers, we are used to working in sprints and running things in production, but this time we took “running” to a whole new level! 🏃♂️🏃♀️ Our Code Nomads Utrecht tribe hit the pavement at the Maliebaan 10K team run, with 4 of our Nomads taking on the race while the rest cheered them on, decked out in our Code Nomads running shirts. 👕💥 It was an awesome day of team spirit, healthy competition, and proving that we can tackle more than just coding challenges. 🍎 From coding on Apple machines to Apple Picking in a beautiful orchard 🌳 This year, we took our team and families to the beautiful De Olmenhorst estate, where the Amsterdam tribe adopted 10 organic apple trees! As part of this tradition, we spent a day together picking apples under the autumn sun. The whole experience was a blend of nature, eating, and joy – all things we hold dear at Code Nomads 😁 All Nomads and junior Nomads went home with a smile and a bag full of delicious, organic fruit! 🍏 The first apple pies are already eaten!
