In a recent article, we introduced the #ChilasCOMET Swept Source Laser and its potential across various applications. Since then, our engineers have been busy putting it to the test, and more recently run an absorption spectrum experiment with a gas cell to explore its performance in spectroscopy and sensing. ☄ With a 40 nm/s sweep rate, we recorded the HCN absorption lines in sync with our oscilloscope, resulting in a clear, high-resolution spectrum. The result? We’ve been featured in the Electro Optics online magazine! 📰 As you already know, we love to share our know-how about tunable & at the same time narrow-linewidth #lasers. Our ultra-narrow tunable lasers are powered by PIC technology! ➤ We will go over the cool tech behind our lasers in a moment, but first, with this occasion, we find it important to make it clear what exciting real-world applications they enable: 🌐 High-speed internet and telecommunications: Our lasers help deliver faster, more reliable internet through advanced networks, connecting communities and businesses. 🌍 Environmental monitoring: From tracking air quality to detecting leaks in pipelines, our lasers make it possible to keep our planet healthy and safe. 🚗 Autonomous vehicles: Lasers are essential for LiDAR systems, helping self-driving cars navigate safely and accurately. 🛡️Secure communications: They ensure that sensitive data remains protected, making our digital world safer. 🩺 Medical imaging: In healthcare, our lasers enable technologies like optical coherence tomography (OCT), providing medical devices detailed vital signs to improve diagnostics. 🌾 Smart agriculture: By monitoring crop health and optimizing resource use, our lasers could contribute to more sustainable farming practices. 🥼Scientific research: They play a vital role in laboratories for precise measurements and calibrations, driving innovation across various fields. Now, how do we achieve all this? Through Hybrid-Integration External Cavity Laser (ECL) technology!
