I have translated the most valuable slide from Moran Moshe-Jantzis with comparison of the current regulations all over the world, including Latvia which is part of the EU. Many concerns were expressed about the future developments in Fintech arena in Israel at this meeting yesterday. Including limitations for the third countries' service providers. Last week, representatives from the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (#LIAA) visited companies and educational institutions in the Latgale planning region, specifically in the cities of #Daugavpils and #Rēzekne, to gain insights into local activities and forge new cooperation networks. 🤝 During the two-day visit, team members from LIAA’s Innovation Management and Innovation Attraction departments met with Daugavpils City Municipality’s Development Department to discuss the goals, plans, and offerings of the upcoming "ALTOP" industrial park. To deepen understanding of the Latgale optoelectronics cluster and assess its global competitiveness, participants visited three companies within the #LatgaleSpecialEconomicZone – Regula Baltija, Pulsar Optics and SMD Baltic—as well as Optoelektronika LV in the Rezekne Special Economic Zone. ⚙️ Recognizing the importance of specialist training for industrial growth, the delegation also visited three educational institutions—Latgale Industrial Technical College, Rezekne Technical College, and Rezekne Academy of Technologies—which showcased successful practices and highlighted the scope of their programs. 🏫

I had a priviledge and an honor to have an eye-opening tour in Rehovot Science park today, arranged by HealthTech investor and entrepreneur Zvika Slovin - and I am so grateful for what I've learned! The density of IP per squeremeter in this place is probably record high. In Israel, when there are startups on every floor of the building - they won't keep themselves in their offices. They will create more startups together. Just sneak a peak into innovative technologies I have explored today: - personalized cancer therapies with 90% cure success by Curesponse (thank you Vered Bar for a tour in your labs!) - taylor-made reagents for microbiology laboratories: I have seen how they are produced in hylabs (Hy Laboratories Ltd) - thank you Maayan Caspi for a tour in your clean rooms! - have seen the real #SynBio foundry, Alagene where amazing #DualUse products are being genetically engineered (I will keep those undisclosed as this is worth the whole separate story!) Just a stunning visit to a place where I have found unbelievable inventions.
