Have you heard about AI agents? The latest trend in the rapidly evolving landscape of AI technology, these systems act autonomously - planning, deciding, and taking actions to achieve goals with minimal human direction. But what does this actually mean? Acting autonomously means AI agents can analyze their environment, prioritize tasks, and execute them without step-by-step instructions. For nonprofits, this could mean streamlining communications, such as responding to inquiries, managing social media interactions, or coordinating event logistics - all while freeing up staff to focus on their mission

Shoutout to our partner Yoni Krichevsky! Last week, Yoni's lecture for our Nonprofit Digital Leaders Course helped demystify AI by breaking down what it is, how it works, and sharing invaluable best practices for nonprofits embarking on AI projects. Our partnership began a few months ago when we launched our HealthTech Hackathon for nonprofits, focusing on leveraging AI to advance mental health. Yoni joined as an AI mentor, and more recently, he worked closely with the winning organization to turn their idea into reality. While working with the organization, a support center for survivors of sexual assault, Yoni went beyond his technical expertise and demonstrated great sensitivity to the subject matter. His thoughtful, hands-on approach made a real difference, balancing innovation with a deep respect for the people served. Thank you, Yoni, for your dedication to using AI for social good!
