#PPHS - Supporting Polish and European Security
Informacje
The Polish Platform for Homeland Security (PPHS) was established in 2005 as a joint agreement between the Polish Police, universities and research institutes. Over the years, the cooperation has expanded to include new agencies and representatives of the judiciary. We are a non-profit organisation, and our mission is to increase the level of security in Poland and Europe. This is mainly achieved by implementing national and international projects supporting the work of uniformed services, training and audit activities and the organisation of specialised workshops, webinars and conferences, as well as through other types of educational and dissemination activities. Thanks to the cooperation between security practitioners and the representatives of academia modern tools and technologies, as well as legal and organisational solutions aimed at increasing the level of internal security are developed and supported.

🌟 Are EU security projects practical? Absolutely! 🌟 One great example is SAFE-CITIES, an EU-funded initiative with our involvement, focused on enhancing the security of public spaces. By developing advanced tools for assessing vulnerabilities and managing threats, the project supports municipalities, law enforcement agencies, and urban planners in protecting urban environments more effectively. As SAFE-CITIES enters its final months, project representatives spoke with Umberto Battista, the project coordinator from STAM S.r.l., to explore the project’s impact and next steps. 👉 Read the full interview and discover how SAFE-CITIES is making a difference: https://lnkd.in/dRXKYwQs #SafeCities #PublicSafety #EUProjects #UrbanSecurity

ARICA Nearing Completion! 🛬 Last week, the final meeting of the ARICA project consortium took place. The project’s goal has been to support law enforcement agencies in their fight against child sexual abuse and exploitation. During the meeting in Leiden, Netherlands, we had the opportunity to summarise the work achieved over the past two years. We are proud to say that together, we have accomplished far more than initially envisioned 💪: ✅ 38 law enforcement agencies across Europe, Australia, and the Americas are already using our tool. ✅ The tool has been piloted by 300 law enforcement agencies from all EU countries, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. ✅ We have published 5 scientific articles on online child sexual abuse, with over 10 more currently in preparation. ✅ We released a white paper on the use of artificial intelligence in law enforcement investigations 👉 https://lnkd.in/dnYuEMgm ✅ We created the ✨ Sparks in the Dark, community, bringing together global experts and practitioners dedicated to combating child sexual abuse and exploitation. This has been an incredible period of collaboration and outstanding achievements. 📢 Child sexual abuse can be preventable. One thing is certain: without talking about it, nothing will change. So, it's time to talk about it! 🔒 Low threshold support and prevention resources can deter first-time offending and recidivism, as well as avert escalation to more serious offences. To protect children from harm in the first place, support must be available to those at risk, encouraging them to seek help and lead a healthy,offence-free life. 🚨 We must act before an offence takes place and a child is victimised. To achieve this, we must enhance prevention. Everyone deserves help if this prevents violence against children. 🎥 Watch the 2PS Project video and read the informative materials produced for the #PreventionIsChildProtection campaign. 🔗 Link to the video: https://lnkd.in/e9fCz4Zm 🔗 Link to the Raising Awareness webpage: https://lnkd.in/dXeu8FQr tion Share the links and join the campaign to build awareness of the necessity of prevention to end violence against children. #PreventionIsChildProtection
