Project Torso! 🩻 Polish innovation is making waves in robotics, with Clone Robotics’ Project Torso capturing the attention of industry giants worldwide. Think humanoid tech right out of an HBO series, blending sci-fi with cutting-edge engineering. It’s not just Elon Musk’s Optimus in the humanoid game—this Wrocław-based team is setting new standards. This isn’t your typical robot. Clone Torso doesn’t just look human; it moves like one. Designed with a full musculoskeletal system, from a stiffened spine to a mobile neck, this android torso mimics the real deal with intricate shoulder, elbow, and chest joints. It’s powered by artificial McKibben muscles and a 500W electrohydraulic pump that acts like a heartbeat. Clone Robotics has already made a name with its Clone Hand, but Torso is taking things up a notch. With a Raspberry Pi brain and battery packs securely housed within, it’s agile, autonomous, and future-ready. Clone Robotics is proving that robotics isn’t just an American game.

🤖 robot_for_today: - name of the company: Agility - type of robot: humanoid - industry: running 🏃🏼♂️ - use case: this is Cassie, the robot that clocked the historic time of 24.73 seconds running 100 meters! Would you beat this robot?

🤖 robot_for_today: - name of the company: Pliant Energy Systems Inc (robot is named Velox) - type of robot: underwater robot (capable of exploring land and sea) - industry: cross-environmental applications - use case: this robot can move through water as well as over sand, pebbles, snow, ice, and other solid ground, completing tasks that robots designed purely for either land or sea would be unsuited for. I can't really decide what it reminds me of - a lot of things tbh! 🐟🪱
