2 new offshore wind contracts for Smulders! 🌊 Ørsted awarded Smulders the contract to fabricate and supply secondary steel components for the Hornsea 3 Offshore Wind Farm. Each set includes a boat landing, ladder, anode cage and internal cages. The majority of the work will be completed at our yard in Wallsend, Newcastle, reinforcing our commitment to local expertise and innovation. Additionally, Smulders has secured an EPC contract for the Centre Manche 1 and 2 offshore wind farms. Today, we present Roman, the final participant in our film series. His story illustrates the diverse career paths that can be developed at Smulders. Taking part in the filming was a challenging yet rewarding experience for him. Roman has been with Smulders Projects Poland since 2008, when he started his career in production as a tack welder and welder. From 2009 to 2011, he served as a Foreman. In 2011, he was promoted to Deputy Chief Welding Supervisor, taking on responsibilities for welding supervision. In 2022, Roman joined the Health and Safety Department as a Manager, showcasing how career development in the company can lead to critical roles in safety and management. He emphasizes the importance of safety in our organization and the significant impact our structures have on the development of global infrastructure. Roman also values the opportunities for personal growth, participation in training, and collaboration with people from different corners of the world. Outside of work, Roman has two passions – automotive mechanics and speaker repair. These hobbies provide him with a perfect outlet to relax and pursue his interests. We would like to thank Roman for his dedication, both on the film set and in his daily work, which inspires us all to live by the idea of "Master Your Magic." 🎥🔧🎶

Meet Michał – another star of our film. During filming, Michał felt natural – his performance was authentic and effortless. Michał has been part of Smulders Projects Poland since 2008, starting his career in production as a welder. Over the years, he held roles as a supervisor and manager. Currently, he serves as the Deputy Production Director. His extensive experience spans the facilities in Łęknica and Żary, where he has gained in-depth knowledge about the company and its development over the years. Michał particularly values the opportunity to observe the full production cycle – from receiving steel plates from the mill to creating advanced structures. Witnessing how raw material transforms into something extraordinary brings him immense satisfaction. Michał emphasizes the importance of teamwork in the workplace, highlighting how the engagement of every team member adds something valuable and significantly impacts the success of each project. Privately, Michał is passionate about gardening and tends to his own vegetable garden, which provides him with an excellent escape from everyday stress. We thank Michał for his daily dedication and for taking part in the film, where he demonstrated how to embody the spirit of "Master Your Magic." 🚜🌟

Yesterday, in the pre-holiday season, a new individual kinesitherapy room was officially opened at Szpital Na Wyspie Sp. z o.o. in Żary. The room is equipped with a high-energy laser that supports the treatment of muscle, joint, and soft tissue conditions. Smulders Projects Poland is honored to be the patron of this project. The opening ceremony was attended by Jacek Kuchta, the Financial Director of Smulders Projects Poland, and Mrs. Jolanta Dankiewicz, the President of the Hospital. This is a perfect moment, in this special time of year, to support initiatives that have a real impact on the health and well-being of our community!

Meet Ania – one of the exceptional individuals featured in our behind-the-scenes film about working at Smulders Projects Poland. Taking part in the project was a surprise for her but also an unforgettable experience: "I found out about the film preparations out of the blue. It was fascinating to see how such a production looks from the inside – how much time, effort, and patience it takes to capture even a single shot. I’m really glad I could be part of it." Ania works as a Junior Production Preparation Engineer at Smulders Projects Poland. She joined our team in March this year and quickly gained recognition for her dedication and support. Initially unaware of the sheer scale of the structures built at our facilities, she now proudly contributes to the creation of offshore wind platform projects that serve seas and oceans worldwide. Her main responsibilities include developing technical documentation, creating machine programs for sheet and profile processing, preparing material requisitions, and providing technical support for daily production challenges. Outside of work, Ania's heart belongs to rugby. She plays for the Black Roses Posnania Poznań team, competing in the Polish Women’s Rugby 7s Championships. Her versatility shines through as she takes on various positions, from a pillar or hooker in defense to a winger in attack. As a passionate advocate for this niche sport, she actively promotes rugby, believing its popularity in Poland will continue to grow. Ania, thank you for your daily commitment and for taking part in our film that perfectly captures the spirit of “Master Your Magic.” 🏗️🏉

The Suppliers Day event for the Bałtyk 2 & 3 offshore wind farms, held recently in Gdańsk, was a fantastic opportunity to connect with both Polish and international companies. Organized by Grupa Polenergia and Equinor, the event focused on integrating local contractors into the global supply chain for offshore wind projects.   Smulders representatives Joanna Foksa, Maciej Hajduk and Jaap Jansen were delighted to participate in this inspiring event.
