It’s #ThrowbackThursday, and we’re looking back at Microsoft Ignite - an event that highlighted how AI agents are reshaping the future of work. 🤖 AI agents represent a shift in how we interact with technology. They can perform tasks, make decisions, and adapt to unforeseen circumstances with minimal human input. Microsoft, Google, and OpenAI are exploring ways to refine these agents to handle complex scenarios. Startups are also diving in, with AI agents designed for niche tasks like legal services. While AI agents promise to unlock new levels of efficiency, they also raise significant questions about trust, usability, ethical challenges, and the evolution of personal skill sets. 📚 Are we witnessing the dawn of a new kind of digital literacy? Will the ability to navigate traditional software and tools become the hallmark of Millennials and Gen Z? Could Generation Alpha bypass this entirely, relying on AI agents as their primary interface - just as we’ve leaned on Google as our gateway to answers? On December 12th, our offices in Manila and Warsaw celebrated the holiday season with festive events.  Today, we're excited to share some photos from our Warsaw office, and soon we'll be sharing moments from the Manila gathering. In Warsaw, despite the lack of snow, the holiday spirit was in full swing thanks to the beautiful decorations.  Our CEO, Angelo Pressello, gave a speech, adding a mix of humor, reflections on the past year, and insights into our future plans. 🏆 Additionally, Angelo handed out our annual awards, recognizing the most active team members, champions of professional development, those who excel in team integration, and the eagle-eyed individuals with exceptional attention to detail. 🎅 We had a Secret Santa gift exchange, and our Snowflake and Reindeer mascots roamed around with a bag of presents.  🥗 We also enjoyed delicious holiday food, festive hits playing from the speakers, and a fun photo booth to capture the memories. We even had a bit of karaoke to top off the fun! (As is often the case at the best parties, many conversations moved to the kitchen, adding to the lively atmosphere). A massive shoutout to our superstar elves: Iuliia, Aleksandra, Aleksandra, Patrycja, Adrian and Krzysztof from Santa's Workshop. They organized, ordered, packed, unpacked, and delivered everything with Directio's reindeer-powered sleighs! 🦌 Thank you all for making this night unforgettable. Happy holidays to everyone! Christmas brings people together all around the world, and that's exactly what it does for us. December 12th was a day of celebration not just in our Warsaw office, but also in our Philippine office! With Manila's temperatures around 30°C, the atmosphere was truly sizzling. 🌞 Our celebration at Lola Cafe featured delicious food, lively karaoke, a fun photo booth, and a thrilling game of human bingo that allowed team members to get to know each other and have fun. Joining the Filipino team for the holiday event were our globetrotters: Tomasz Banach, Adam Ryś, and Tymoteusz Kupcewicz, proving that the world is indeed a small place. 😊 Special thanks to our local elves in the Philippines, under the leadership of our head elf Moira Rain Gabriel-Miranda, for crafting this amazing evening! On December 6th, in Mikołajki, amidst the falling and melting snow, Joanna Szumowska, our Senior Marketing Specialist, attended Pozitive.Tech in Poznań. Set in the beautifully restored Imperial Castle, the event featured an impressive lineup of speakers. Theoretical insights were delivered by Prof. Andrzej Dragan and Dr Maciej Kawecki offering deep dives into AI and cybersecurity. The humor-packed and trivia-laden presentation by Piotr 👾 Konieczny from Niebezpiecznik.pl stole the show and kept everyone engaged. Among the practical presentations, Dawid Benski's from Capgemini session on data transformation stood out, as did Jakub Sznajder's presentation from Allegro, which demonstrated real-world applications of change management in large organizations. The discussions were especially interesting in light of the release of the new O1 model just a day earlier, sparking even more curiosity and debate around the future of AI and its real-world implications. The conference left us with some thought-provoking questions: ➡️How can we better integrate AI advancements into daily business operations? ➡️Is AI security evolving fast enough to keep up with emerging threats? ➡️How can large companies implement change management effectively to minimize disruption? ➡️What will the next breakthrough in AI models bring for businesses and society? Time for #ThrowbackThursday again! 🍹 On November 21st, Adrian Michalski and Patrycja Fabińska from our HR team attended Smoothie HR Masterclazz hosted by No Fluff Jobs. The event offered a fresh take on employee engagement in a creative and inspiring space at RASP, with Onet SA Premium as the sponsor. It was a morning packed with discussions on motivation - what drives employees, how to create effective benefits, and how HR can bring real value to organizations (even if it often goes unnoticed). Adrian and Patrycja’s group tackled the topic of benefits, brainstorming ideas to better address employee needs and expectations. Other groups explored the psychology of motivation and even designed a motivational poster - because who doesn’t love a bit of creative flair? Time for Throwback Thursday! Did you know that it’s over 13,000 kilometers from Manila to Chicago? This fall was a busy one for our CEO, Angelo Pressello, not only in the U.S., where he attended Microsoft Ignite, but earlier in Asia, where he visited our team and clients in the Philippines. In the spirit of extraordinary Filipino hospitality, Angelo met with the team of our client, UCC Coffee, who created a fantastic atmosphere for his visit (and let’s not forget the food 🥗 - because what’s a Filipino gathering without mouthwatering dishes that steal the show?). The warm welcome, organized by the Filipino team led by Paul Jude Galera, Bobby Sabandal, and Roel Calderon, was truly unforgettable. Paul, Bobby, and Roel, along with the admin and tech teams, have been doing a fantastic job keeping our connections in the Philippines strong and growing. While the emotions from the Asian journey have settled, today is a moment for new reflections, this time more personal. 🦃 It’s Thanksgiving - a significant holiday for our American team members and clients. It’s also a time to reflect on important values and to express gratitude for both the big and small things.
