  • With greater demands for laptops and other hardware across all industries, educational establishments must embrace pre-used and refurbished devices in order to achieve the best value. In this month's Industry Unlocked feature, Steve Dickinson, Head of Supply Chain at Espria, argues that education organisations should trust that Windows 11-ready, BSI-certified refurbished IT equipment can be an affordable and environmentally friendly alternative to new devices. "This shift in attitude towards refurbished IT equipment has been driven by several factors, including cost savings and environmental sustainability and the ability to offset these devices against carbon footprint." That's just a snippet of what we have to offer in this month's magazine. Want to get ahead in your industry? Companies need to be aware of how engaged these employees are and how to recognise the signs if these employees are unhappy. In this month's Expert Profile feature, Merel van der Lei, CEO of Wyzetalk, discusses the seven critical signs your workforce needs an engagement boost. "Boosting interaction and enthusiasm through recognition, feedback and social interaction opportunities can create a positive work environment where employees feel valued and appreciated." By partnering with Pleo, Bonzer implemented a comprehensive spending solution that captured every expense across the business while integrating seamlessly with local accounting systems for all entities, ensuring tighter control over marketing expenditures. • Generative AI (GenAI) is for the last mile. If you want to create something special that resonates with your target audience, you first need an underlying data infrastructure – and other forms of AI working under the surface – to facilitate this innovative approach. In this month's edition, Matthew Biboud Lubeck, General Manager EMEA from Amperity, outlines how GenAI can personalise communications at scale. "While many organisations are awash with data, it’s often unstructured and siloed." That's just a snippet of what we have to offer in this month's magazine. Want to get ahead in your industry? • Large institutions from Tesla to Blackrock have been investing in Bitcoin for years, but most SMEs still haven’t joined the revolution. That’s hardly surprising given that smaller businesses are focused on day-to-day operational concerns and surviving in a cut-throat market. What use is Bitcoin to them? In this month's Tech Trends feature, Danny Barugh, Founder & Chief Executive Officer, LondonLink, explores the specific benefits of Bitcoin for SMEs. "For smaller firms, crypto’s most meaningful benefit is in the realm of transactions and operations, not investment." That's just a snippet of what we have to offer in this month's magazine. • On the front cover of this month's edition, we feature Paul Walker, Co-owner, Fred Aldous. Fred Aldous is an arts and crafts store based in the UK. It has seen its fair share of changes as it has been in business for 138 years. As the company grew and moved into e-commerce, it faced finance management challenges. It made the switch from manual accounting to accountancy software platform, Xero. Using Xero to manage supplier payments has not only saved hours on an almost daily basis, but also allowed the business to build stronger relationships directly with its suppliers. Here, Paul tells us more. "Another changing tide that Fred Aldous has had to ride is the shift towards digital payments." That's just a snippet of what we have to offer in this month's magazine.
