The Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill introduced in Parliament today will make a child-centred government a reality by putting children’s interests first and stopping vulnerable children falling through cracks. The bill includes: 🏠 A new home education register and unique numbers for pupils – like every adult has a national insurance number – to stop children falling through the cracks. ⚠️ New rules on home education to protect vulnerable children. 🧑🏫 Stronger role for schools and professionals in safeguarding decisions, to make sure help can be mobilised for every child that needs it.
