Exciting News for Construction Apprenticeships! The UK government, CITB , and NHBC have launched a major initiative to address the construction skills gap and boost housebuilding across the country. With 5,000 new apprenticeship places funded by a £140m industry investment, this program will fast-track training, enabling apprentices to complete courses in half the usual time. NHBC’s £100m network of multi-skills training hubs will play a key role in equipping the next generation of construction professionals. As Roger Morton, Director of NHBC Training Hubs, says: “There has never been a better time to invest in apprentices.” This initiative aligns with CoTrain - Shared Apprenticeship Service mission to empower apprentices and strengthen the construction workforce. 🎓 Training Provider of the Month - November 🎓 A huge shout out to Eastleigh College for being named Training Provider of the Month for November! We are proud to partner with Eastleigh College (part of South Hampshire College Group) on Brandon’s journey as an apprentice bricklayer. Brandon, who was also named Apprentice of the Month, has had an outstanding start to the academic year. His motivation, eagerness to learn, and commitment to developing his skills make him a shining example of a future professional in the construction industry. The college has played a key role in supporting Brandon’s growth, ensuring he gains the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed to become an exceptional bricklayer.
