During this week's Conference on 19 and 20 November, attendees will have the opportunity to attend "Problem Clinics". These problems were assessed by our expert panel and you will now have the unique opportunity to help bridge the gap between the problem and the solution. You can choose which of these you would like to take part in: Tuesday: - How do we improve shared decision making with mental health patients? - How could a digital platform transform personalised care for patients with IBD, IBS and coaliac disease? - Could we table overprescribing by collating data on lifestyle factors and then allow for personalised support to address what matters most to patients? - How do we improve access to continuing medical education in low income settings? - Why is it so complex to introduce crucial updates such as QRisk3 in GP surgeries, and how do we improve this process to protect patient safety? - How can we transform mandatory continuous improvement projects by junior doctors from a tick box exercise to initiatives with real world impact? - How do we strengthen regulation for telehealth on a global scale to protect patient data and safety without stifling innovation? Wednesday: - How can we design our primary care services to better support people who are neurodivergent? - How can we ensure prescribing for challenging behaviour in those with learning disabilities is equitable, personalised and not biased by factors such as ethnicity? - Cervical screening uptake is often limited by economic and socio-cultural factors. How can we increase participation rates from these groups? - What can we do better to tackle stress and improve wellbeing for emergency service staff? - How do we shorten the waiting time for autism assessment in children and young people? - How can we improve integration of patient notes / history across services in maternity care to provide a better patient experience? - Antimicrobial resistance: the fall of modern medicine? How do we improve shared decision making with mental health patients? Patients with mental illness feel unheard in treatment decisions because shared decision making is assumed but not verified, leading to ineffective care and repeated strain on mental health services. Join Marta Chmielowska on Tuesday 19 November for BMJ Future Health during one of the many problem clinics where we will brainstorm how we can improve the current mental health services.
