  • Blenheim Palace is proud to announce the incredible success of hosting the European Political Community Summit last week. The event not only brought together 45 world leaders but also welcomed HM King Charles III, marking the first visit by a monarch to our UNESCO World Heritage Site and the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill in 88 years. Thanks to the "Summit Effect," we have seen a remarkable 12.3% rise in visitor figures this weekend. Our website traffic soared by 45%, and our catering team experienced a vibrant weekend of service across our cafes and restaurants, including the newly renovated Orangery. We are also thrilled to estimate a £30 million boost to the local economy from this prestigious gathering. Dominic Hare, Chief Executive of Blenheim Palace, commented: “Hosting an event attended by a quarter of the world’s leaders is truly remarkable. The summit is undoubtedly the most significant event in Blenheim Palace’s history, and the positive feedback has been overwhelming. We are confident that the 'halo effect' of this globally historic event will benefit the local economy for months to come. Additionally, the increased visitor numbers will support the vital restoration and conservation of Blenheim Palace.” We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the local partners who made this event possible, including Thames Valley Police, South Central Ambulance Service, Oxfordshire Fire & Rescue, OCC, WODC, and the military. Their phenomenal support ensured the safe and successful delivery of the summit, presenting the very best of Oxfordshire to the world. We look forward to continuing to welcome visitors from around the globe to Blenheim Palace.
